Step 2   Let's look at the box below (where DEF cross PQR). We can't put a 7 in column R (cells DR, ER, and FR) because there's a 7 on cell CR. Remember the Sudoku game plan – Each column must contain the numbers 1 to 9, which means you can’t repeat a number twice in the same column. We can't put a 7 in cell DP because there's a 7 on the same row on cell DM. Therefore, the only available cell for a 7 in this box is cell FQ.
